Mayor’s Pie Contest - 10am, Sheep Barn

The Mayor’s Pie contest is open to entries throughout the Middle Park area. Pies can be of any flavor and entrants may have more than one pie entered in the contest. Judges for the contest will be mayors from Grand and Summit County towns. Entrants must enter their pies 10am-11am at theSheep Barn. Cash Prizes will be awarded. Trophy in memory of Clyde &Margaret Underbrink.

Commissioners’ Cookie Jar - 10am, Sheep Barn

Entries will be taken at the Sheep Barn from 10am-11am. This event is open to entries throughout the Middle Park area. Bring a plate of six cookies made from your favorite recipe. There are three divisions; 8 and under; 9 – 18; Over 18. The Grand and Summit County Board of Commissioners will begin judging at 11am. Cash Prizes will be awarded..

Rosie’s Salsa Showdown - 11am, outside the Beef Barn

Create a delicious salsa and a panel of local judges will critique it on aroma, consistency, appropriate heat level, color, taste, and after taste. There will also be a people’s choice award voted on by all the salsa tasters. Cash prize for the most voted for salsa.
$5 per salsa entry, drop off by 10:45am at the Beef Barn. Make and bring a half gallon of salsa (2 quart jars). Multiple entries are permitted. Register at:
Public tastings will be from 11am until 3pm or until salsa runs out. Tasting fee includes one one taste of each salsa & people’s choice vote

Dress your Small Pet Contest - 11:30am, Poultry/Rabbit Barn

This is a fun event for youth of all ages to dress up their favorite small pet in a cute, scary, funny, or unique costume. Cash prizes, sponsored by the Cameron family, will also be awarded to the best dressed pets.

Registration by the crow’s nest. Races start at 3pm in the arena.


Come on down to the Dance Hall from 11am-5pm on Saturday, August 12

There will be a 3D archery shoot with levels for both kids and adults. Equipment will be available to rent on site and prizes will be based on number of entries. Show off your skills at this fun and friendly competition
